Ecofoil Overview
EcoFoil is a sustainable, biodegradable alternative to traditional aluminium foil and plastic wrap. Unlike metal foils that are mined and manufactured through heavy industrial processes, EcoFoil is grown, harvested, and handcrafted to return to the earth.

Learn more about foil.
EcoFoil is a handcrafted, zero waste alternative to traditional foils and plastic wraps. It combines ancient preservation techniques with modern textile science to create a wrap that lives, breathes, and eventually returns to the earth.
Why Us?
Unlike aluminium, which is an inert “dead” barrier, EcoFoil is breathable. It allows ethylene gas (the ripening hormone) to escape while maintaining a moisture-stable environment. This prevents the “sweating” and rapid moulding common with produce wrapped in foil or plastic.
A single sheet of EcoFoil can be washed and reused for up to one year. When its “stick” finally wears off, it doesn’t end up in a landfill like aluminium; it can be cut into strips for your compost pile or used as a natural fire-starter for camping.
Wrap avocados, cheese, or bread or cover bowls of leftovers. Wash with cool water and mild soap.

- Nature’s way of keeping food fresh and returning it to the earth.
The foil is naturally antibacterial and antifungal. This provides an extra layer of protection for sensitive foods like cheese and bread, inhibiting spoilage without synthetic chemicals or preservatives.
2. Wash it, reuse it, love it – the wrap that never wastes.

FAQs
How do I clean my EcoFoil?
Just rinse it with cool water and a drop of mild dish soap. Avoid hot water, as it will melt the natural wax coating. Let it air dry, and it’s ready to use again.
How long does one wrap last?
With proper care, a single EcoFoil can be reused for about a year. You’ll know it’s time to compost it when the fabric loses its “stickiness” or becomes very thin.
Can I use it on everything?
It is perfect for fruits, vegetables, cheese, and bread. However, we recommend avoiding raw meat or fish, as the wrap cannot be washed with hot water to kill harmful bacteria.
How does it actually stay in place?
No strings or tape are needed. The warmth of your hands softens the beeswax just enough to mould the wrap around a bowl or piece of food. As it cools, it creates a firm, natural seal.
